Pump Technician - Assembler

General Summary:
Pump Technician Assemblers are self-starters who are reliable, flexible, and able to work well independently and under direct supervision. Relying on instructions and established procedures and processes to perform the functions of the job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for assembly of products from assembly instructions employing high quality practices.
• Responsible for prepping parts, building sub-assemblies, and building pump/motor assemblies.
• Responsible for accurately reporting lot codes of components used in assemblies, and recording inventory and assemblies built.
• Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates including maintaining the cleanliness of the shop.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• This position requires a versatile person who is detail oriented, learns quickly, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Manual dexterity is necessary to perform the job safely and ensure proper assembly.
• Ability to work well with limited supervision.
• Skilled at using hand tools such as drills, wrenches, and hammers.
• Capable of following written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to follow assembly instructions.

Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent strongly desired.
• Forklift certification is not required but is a plus.

Must have a solid work history and able to work in a high pace environment.

Hydraulic - Fluid Power Technician / Fabricator

Hydraulic & Pneumatic Sales (HPS), a Charlotte based company, is one of the Southeast’s leading fluid power distributors with branch locations in NC, VA and GA. HPS provides products, services and solutions in pneumatics, hydraulics, filtration and automation to the industrial and mobile market place. Along with providing complete systems and solutions, our Charlotte location is a certified service and warranty center for many top fluid power manufacturers.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Hydraulic - Fluid Power Technician/Fabricator for our Charlotte location. This position requires the ability to comprehend and assemble hydraulic and pneumatic systems, diagnose system problems and inspect components, and recommend solutions.


Preferred Qualifications:
 • 3+ years fluid power experience
• Self-motivated, well organized & detail oriented
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience using micrometers, calipers and indicators.
• Experience welding (both Tig and Mig)
• Through understanding of hydraulic schematics
• Experience fabricating and installing tubing and hose’s
• Experience identifying various hydraulic fittings and threads
